You change the widget's look and features in the live chat channel's settings. The preview on the right shows each change right away.
Steps
-
1
Open the channel's settings
In Settings › Workspace settings › Inboxes, open the live chat channel's settings. Stay on the “Settings” tab.
-
2
Change the name and picture
“Channel Avatar” is the picture shown in the widget. “Website Name” is the name the visitor sees.
-
3
Set up the widget features
In the “Widget features” part:
- “Welcome Heading” and “Welcome Tagline”: the text shown when the widget opens.
- “Social media links”: the links you fill in show as icons on the welcome screen.
- “Widget Color”.
- “Bubble”: “Position” (Left or Right) and “Type” (Standard or Expanded Bubble).
- “Launcher Title”: the text next to the chat button, for example “Chat with us”.
- “Set Reply time”: the expected reply time shown in the widget.
-
4
Choose the features
In the “Features” part, tick the ones you need: “Display file picker on the widget”, “Display emoji picker on the widget”, “Allow users to end conversation from the widget”, “Use inbox name and avatar for the bot”.
-
5
Save
At the bottom of the page, click “Update”. The color, texts and features reach the widget on your website by themselves.
-
6
If you moved the button, update the code
The “Bubble” (position and type) and “Launcher Title” are stored inside the widget's code. After you change them, copy the code again with the “Script” button on the right and put it in place of the old code on your website.
