“Your inbox connection has expired”: reconnect a channel
Last updated: 26 September 2026 · 5 min read
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Cloud, Gmail, Outlook and TikTok channels work with a permission you gave. When the password changes, the permission is taken back or it expires, the channel stops receiving messages. Reconnecting the channel is enough, and your conversations stay in place. An administrator does this.
Steps
-
1
Recognize the warning
In the left menu, under Conversations › Channels, a warning icon appears next to the channel. When you hover over it, it says “Your inbox connection has expired”.
-
2
Open the channel's settings
In Settings › Workspace settings › Inboxes, open the settings of that channel. At the top there is a “Your inbox is disconnected” bar.
-
3
Give permission again
Click the “Click here to reconnect” link. In the Meta, Google, Microsoft or TikTok window that opens, sign in to the same account and give all the permissions.
-
4
If the window does not open
Allow pop-up windows for this site in your browser, turn off your ad blocker or try another browser. For Facebook and WhatsApp, you need admin access to the Page and to the WhatsApp Business account.

Check
Send a test message from another account. It should appear within a minute. A WhatsApp QR number reconnects differently: see “Why a number linked by QR disconnects”.
