Connect a Telegram bot

Customers write to your bot in Telegram, and the messages land in an inbox in Clomni. To connect it, you need a Telegram bot and its token. An administrator connects the channel.

Steps

    Create a bot in Telegram

    In Telegram, open the @BotFather account, create a new bot and copy the token it gives you. If you already have a bot, you can get its token from @BotFather again.

    Choose the Telegram card

    On Settings › Workspace settings › Inboxes, click “Add Inbox”. In the catalog, click “Connect” on the “Telegram” card.

    Paste the token

    Paste the token into the “Bot Token” field and click “Create Telegram Channel”.

    Choose agents

    Pick the agents who will see this channel's conversations and click “Add agents”. You can scan the QR code on the last page with your phone to try the bot right away.
