Set business hours, a lunch break and an out-of-hours message

Business hours show when a channel is working. A customer who writes outside business hours can get an automatic message. Business hours also appear in the live chat widget. You set the hours for each channel separately.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open Business Hours

Open the channel's settings from the list in Settings › Workspace settings › Inboxes and go to the “Business Hours” section.

  2. 2

    Turn on availability

Turn on “Enable business availability for this inbox”.

  3. 3

    Write the out-of-hours message

In the “Unavailable message for visitors” field, write the text people get when they write outside business hours, for example: “We're closed now and will reply at 9 am”.

  4. 4

    Choose the hours

Choose your time zone from the “Select timezone” list (Baku for Azerbaijan). In the “Set your weekly hours” table, tick the days you work and choose the opening and closing times. For a day you work around the clock, choose “All-Day”.

  5. 5

    Add a lunch break

If you take a break during the day, tick “Lunch break” under that day's hours. The break starts as 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM, and you can change the start and end times. You set the break for each day separately, and it must sit inside the working hours, otherwise you see “The break must be within the working hours”. A day set to “All-Day” has no break.

During the break the channel counts as closed: a customer who writes gets the out-of-hours message, and the “Business hours” step in flows follows it too. The live chat widget shows the channel as offline and says it is back when the break ends. The day's total in the table leaves the break out, and the “Business Hours” switch in reports does not count it either.

  6. 6

    Save

Click “Update business hours settings”. The “Business hours” step in flows uses these hours too.
