Create labels and add them to conversations

Last updated: 26 September 2026 · 4 min read

A label groups conversations by topic, for example “order” or “complaint”. Filters, reports and automation work by label.

Steps

  1. 1

    Create the label

On Settings › Workspace settings › Labels, click “Add label”. Fill in “Label Name” (letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores), “Description” and “Color”. If “Show label on sidebar” is selected, the label appears in the sidebar under Conversations. Click “Create”. Creating labels is an administrator's job.

  2. 2

    Add it to a conversation

Open the conversation. In the right panel, in the “Labels” part, click “Add label” and choose the label. A conversation can have several labels.

  3. 3

    From the list

Right-click the conversation and choose “Assign label”. Tick several conversations and use the “Assign label” button at the top to label them all at once. When Clomni AI suggests a label that fits the conversation, “Suggested labels” appears.

  4. 4

    View by label

In the sidebar, click a label under Conversations › Labels: only conversations with that label are shown.
