Filter conversations and save a filter

Last updated: 1 October 2026 · 5 min read

A filter picks conversations by status, agent, channel, label, date and other fields. A saved filter becomes its own list in the sidebar.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open the filter

On the Conversations page, click the “Filter” button at the top of the list. The “Filter conversations” window opens.

  2. 2

    Set up the conditions

In each row, choose the field (for example “Status”, “Assignee name”, “Inbox name”, “Labels”, “Priority”, “Created at”, “Last activity”), the condition (“Equal to”, “Contains”, “Is x days before” and so on) and the value. For a new row, click “Add filter”, and join the rows with “AND” or “OR”.

  3. 3

    Apply

Click “Apply filters”. Only matching conversations stay in the list. To remove the filter, click the “Clear filters” icon.

  4. 4

    Save the filter

When a filter is applied, a “Save filter” icon appears at the top of the list. Click it, enter a name in the “Name this filter” field and click “Save filter”. The filter appears in the sidebar under Conversations › Filters. The button left of the name picks an emoji, which the sidebar shows instead of “#”.

  5. 5

Change or delete a saved filter

Open the saved filter: the “Edit filter” and “Delete filter” icons are at the top. The edit window changes its name and emoji too.
