Turn on two-factor authentication
Last updated: 26 September 2026 · 5 min read
Two-factor authentication asks for a code from an app on your phone in addition to your password when you sign in. Even if your password is stolen, no one can get into your account.
Steps
-
1
Open the Security part
At the bottom of the left menu, click your profile picture, choose “Profile settings” and scroll down to the “Security” part.
-
2
Turn it on
Click “Enable Two-Factor Authentication”.
-
3
Scan the QR code
On your phone, open Google Authenticator, Authy or another app that supports TOTP and scan the QR code on the screen. If you cannot scan it, use “Can't scan? Enter code manually” and type the “Secret Key” into the app.
-
4
Confirm the code
Enter the 6-digit code from the app and click “Verify & Continue”.
-
5
Save your backup codes
Save the backup codes with “Download” or “Copy All”. If you lose your phone, each code works for one sign-in, and they are not shown again. Tick the confirmation box and click “Complete Setup”. Then “Two-factor authentication is active” appears.
