Create an API key (API access)

An API key lets external programs connect to Clomni on your behalf. The key works with your permissions, so give it only to a developer you trust.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open API access

At the bottom of the sidebar, click your profile picture, choose “Profile Settings” and go to “API access” in the list on the left.

  2. 2

    Create a key

Click “New key”. In the “Name” field, write what the key is for. “Expires on” and “Request limit” are optional: if you leave them empty, the key never expires and has no limit. Click “Create key”.

  3. 3

    Copy the key

In the “Copy your key now” window, copy the key, keep it somewhere safe and click “I have copied it”. The key is not shown again.

  4. 4

    Manage your keys

The table shows each key's “Last used”, number of “Requests” and “Status”. The “Requests” action shows the latest requests. “Switch off” stops a key, “Switch on” turns it back on, and “Delete” removes it for good.
