Macros: several actions in one click

Last updated: 26 September 2026 · 4 min read

A macro puts several actions behind one button: for example, “add a label, send a thank-you message, resolve the conversation”. Agents can create macros too.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open the Macros page

On the Settings › Workspace settings › Macros page, click “Add a new macro”.

  2. 2

    Set up the actions

Enter the “Macro name”. Between “Start Flow” and “End Flow”, add actions: “Add a Label”, “Assign an Agent”, “Assign a Team”, “Send a Message”, “Add a Private Note”, “Change Priority”, “Resolve Conversation”, “Snooze Conversation” and more. The actions run in the order they are listed, and you can drag them to change the order.

  3. 3

    Choose the visibility

In “Macro Visibility”, choose “Public” (all agents can use it) or “Private” (only you). Click “Save macro”.

  4. 4

    Run it in a conversation

In the conversation's right panel, open the “Macros” part. Next to the macro, use “Preview Macro” to see what it will do, and click “Execute”. The message “Macro executed successfully” appears.
