Set up a webhook: send events to your own system
Last updated: 9 October 2026 · 5 min read
A webhook is Clomni automatically sending data to your address when something happens in the account (a new message, a new conversation, a contact created). This is a setup for developers. An administrator creates webhooks.
Steps
-
1
Open the Webhook page
On the Settings › Workspace settings › Integrations page, click “Configure” on the “Webhook” card.
-
2
Add a new webhook
Click “Add new webhook”. Fill in the “Webhook Name” and “Webhook URL” fields.
-
3
Choose the events
In the “Events” list, tick the ones you need: “Conversation Created”, “Conversation Status Changed”, “Conversation Updated”, “Message created”, “Message updated”, “Live chat widget opened by the user”, “Contact created”, “Contact updated” and the typing events. Calls have their own “Calls” group: “Call started”, “Call answered”, “Call ended”, “Call recording ready” (see the “Call webhooks” article). Then click “Create webhook”.
-
4
Save the secret
When the webhook is created, a “Secret” is shown. Copy it now: your developer uses it to check that requests really come from Clomni.
-
5
Change or delete
In the list, each webhook has “Edit” and “Delete” buttons.
